Scholarship & Program Manager

Summary of Position

 

The Scholarship and Program Manager for the Red Rocks Community College Foundation (RRCCF) is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Foundation’s scholarship and donor-funded program portfolio. This position ensures equitable access to scholarship opportunities by managing the full scholarship lifecycle—from outreach and application through selection, award, and reporting—using a student-centered and data-informed approach. The Scholarship & Program Manager also leads key institutional initiatives including the Endowed Teaching Chair program and internal grant competitions that directly support faculty and staff development. As a liaison between the Foundation and internal/external stakeholders, the position fosters strong, collaborative relationships with faculty, staff, students, donors, and community members. This position plays a critical role in donor stewardship, event coordination, and community engagement, advancing the Foundation’s mission to expand educational access and enrich college experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong project management capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), especially as it relates to first-generation college students. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Foundation and working closely with departments across the college, this position supports an inclusive, innovative, and student-focused environment.

This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Clear and Inclusive Communication: Demonstrated ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences, both in writing and verbally, with clarity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Program Execution and Initiative: Proven track record of independently managing multifaceted programs, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in fostering collaborative, respectful relationships across departments, with students, faculty, donors, and community partners.
  •  DEIB Leadership: Actively integrates diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging practices into programs and student support, with focused advocacy for first-generation college students.
  • Problem Solving and Judgment: Demonstrated ability to anticipate challenges, analyze data, and implement practical, effective solutions.
  • Strategic Planning and Evaluation: Experience in setting goals, managing resources, tracking progress, and using outcomes to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
  • Two years of professional-level experience in a nonprofit and/or public-serving organization.  
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software expertise demonstrated through two or more years of operational experience in scholarship management platforms, donor software, academic student systems or other products.    
  • Data Security Adherence through experience handling sensitive student information in alignment with FERPA requirements.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years’ experience in a nonprofit and/or public-serving organization.  
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking.  

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary

Starting salary range for this position is $72,159 to $79,375 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
